Privacy Policy

Puzzled Varieties ("the app") is made by Adrian Ferreira. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: the app doesn't collect anything about you, doesn't show ads, doesn't track you, and doesn't talk to any servers except Apple's own iCloud, which it uses only to sync your own puzzle progress across your own devices.

Information we collect

We don't collect any personal information. Puzzled Varieties has no account creation, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We — the developer — never receive any data about you or how you use the app.

Information stored on your device

To let you play, the app stores the following directly on your device, using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Which puzzles you've completed, and when
• Your unlocked achievements, aromas, flavors and explorer rank
• Your selected difficulty setting

None of this ever leaves your device except as described below, and it is never sent to us.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, the app uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store to sync your puzzle progress across your own devices (for example, from your iPhone to your iPad). This sync happens directly between your devices through your personal iCloud account — it is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, and the developer has no access to this data. You can turn this off at any time in your device's iCloud settings.

Data deletion

You can delete all of your progress at any time from within the app: open the Profile tab, go to Overview, and choose Delete under "Delete Progress." This clears your local data and removes it from iCloud sync as well. Deleting the app from your device also removes all locally stored data.

Third parties

Puzzled Varieties does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. No data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party, because none is collected in the first place.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a new feature that touches your data — we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
